What
Each January the team run a ten day holiday program down on the McCrae foreshore.
Aim
The is to connect and develop friendships with children and families, and to teach from the Bible about God's love and the life of Jesus. We also have a lot of fun in the process!
Program
Every morning we run a two hour program, with a carnival, games, songs and drama, before splitting into smaller age groups for more learning and other activities.
Starfish (Prep & Grade 1), Seagulls (Grade 2 & 3), Lifeguards (Grade 4 - 6), Teens (Year 7 - 9).
Everyone outside of these ages is invited to come along for a coffee and a chat.
There's also a teens program for years 10 and above, with many of their activities running in the afternoon or evening.
Then after dinner, we do an hour of upfront skits, songs and fun. Definitely not to be missed!
We also run special events such as a movie night, family BBQ and trivia night.
Team
The SUFM team is made up of approximately 35 people who volunteer their time to plan and run the program, because of a passion for sharing the Good news.
Where
A morning and evening program runs in the park, section 6 of the Rosebud foreshore camping ground.
The program also runs in section 13 (opposite Boneo Rd), and various special events are held at both locations.
Safety & Care
The safety of participants, team members and the general community is of utmost importance to us. All team members are required to have a current WWC card, and are fully trained in safety and care through SU's 'ChildSafe'.
